Web design- websites we like

I really like the Rob Ryan website, it's colorful and handmade and flows easily. I like that he has used his paper cut out designs to create buttons on the website.

I also really like this website design, the little drawn characters are collared well with the rest of the background.

V&A

On Friday 15th of January we went to the V&A to meet up with the marketing team for a meeting and a chance to ask questions about the V&A, and why they think that no one from the younger generation is visiting the museum. Overall the conclusion that kept coming up in conversation is that the museum needs more interactive stuff for 11-19 year olds. We come up with popular theme that may appeal to a younger age group which is fashion, music, celebs etc. We also found out that the museum is currently going through a new branding process in order to keep up with the other museums in London such as the Tate and the Design museum. We found out the logo restrictions and one of them was that it can't be black.

Tabasco designs

Here are some examples of my designs for Tabasco Sauce. I really like the colours used and the Rob Ryan style cut out.

Packaging Design: Tabasco

For my packaging project i redesigned the packaging for Tabasco sauce. I tried to aim the product at young working individuals perhaps upper class. I have gone for a rustic natural look for the packaging and have come up with many outcomes.

Sure Start Family Board Game

I have designed a game for sure start families, it was based on a old story book and i chose Jack and the Bean Stalk. I had to base the game around the story and it had to be aimed at 3-5 year old children.

web design code definitions

HTML, which stands for Hyper Text Markup Language, is the predominant markup language for web pages. It provides a means to create structured documents by denoting structural semantics for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists etc as well as for links, quotes, and other items. It allows images and objects to be embedded and can be used to create interactive forms.

CSS Stands for "Cascading Style Sheet." Cascading style sheets are used to format the layout of Web pages. They can be used to define text styles, table sizes, and other aspects of Web pages that previously could only be defined in a page's HTML.

HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) The communications protocol used to connect to Web servers on the Internet or on a local network (intranet). Its primary function is to establish a connection with the server and send HTML pages back to the user's browser. It is also used to download files from the server either to the browser or to any other requesting application that uses HTTP.

Graphic file types

Font sizeHere i have researched into different file types and the definitions. I have looked into Adobe pro grammes and other well known file types.

Numerous new features include multiple artboards in a single document, a "blob brush" that is similar to the brush in Adobe Flash, and support for transparency in gradients among other features.

Since its introduction in 1996, Flash has become a popular method for adding animation and interactivity to web pages. Flash is commonly used to create animation, advertisements, and various web page Flash components, to integrate video into web pages, and more recently, to develop rich Internet applications.

PSD- The .psd format is the Adobe Photoshop data format which can be read on any machine that has Adobe Photoshop installed. It is cross platform and can be used on both PCs and Macs. The PSD format provides extended support for layering, alpha channels, paths, and vectors.
